Fernanda Tapia

With 44 years in media, Fernanda Tapia reopened the doors of commercial radio to women in the 1980s. She has worked at legendary stations such as Radioactivo, Sabrosita, and La Pantera. On television, she hosted Puro Barrio for five years, Almohadazo for 14 years, and Diálogos en Confianza for 25 years.

For Diálogos en Confianza, she received the National Journalism Award twice and the CONAPRED “Faces of Discrimination” recognition. She has published six books and filled the Teatro Esperanza Iris with her monologue La Salvaja, as well as the Sala Silvestre Revueltas twice with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Arts.

Fernanda writes a weekly column for El Heraldo de México and directs her own website, FernandaTapia.com. She currently serves as Director of Radio Educación.
